Sun, 1 February 2009 Due to several factors there will be no more broadcasting of Berrien Springs sporting events sponsored by R. M. Little & Company and Bob Little. This was a voluntary effort that began in 2005 with the 8-26-2005 broadcast of the Berrien Springs vs. Kalamazoo Christian Football game and included all the games that led to the State Basketball Championship game in 2006 and the Baseball Championship series also in 2006. As a result over 681 episodes have been posted here. The site received over 69,488 listeners. By these standards it was very successful. Although requests were made over the years during the broadcasts for voluntary contributions to help cover the costs and help with the broadcasts none were ever received. And despite the fact that these broadcasts were started and maintained primarily for the benefit of friends and relatives who could not attend the games and for the athletes who I assumed would like a memento for their future enjoyment of a favorite game or play, not one person has ever show appreciation or said thank you for these broadcasts except for the Seibenmark's who have recently done so several times. But these aren't the primarily reason the broadcasts are ending. I came to the realization after the last broadcast, the Bridgman Basketball game, which will not be published, that since apparently it is of little or no interest to others and I am growing increasing more negative in the broadcasts about players, coaches and referees including my own son and felt it was not adding any value and in fact might be causing more damage then good I have decided it is time for me to stop. I wish to thank those who have donated time to help with these broadcasts over the years. Especially Matt Bacon, who has done the most and who is very gifted in it. Also Joe Zarn who also is very gifted and much more controlled then I. Over the years other voices have helped out like Dick Paulsen, Jessica Bacon, Matt Little, Mark Westendorp and even Bill Shembarger once. You have to search for that one. It is priceless (ha!). I also would like to thank the many Athletic Directors from the schools we visited for their hospitality and for our own Carolyn Paulsen and Alan Alsbro and their staff for their support. There have been many more exciting and fun moments then otherwise and I would do it over again if faced with that choice. If anyone is interested in taking this over give me a call. I would be happy to assist in a smooth transition with equipment and know-how. And I can't speak for Matt Bacon or Joe Zarn but I wouldn't be surprised if they would want to continue helping with the broadcasts. Billy might even give it another try. If I have ever said something in a broadcast that was offensive I would like to take this moment to apologize and say that I did let my emotions get away from me at times and I am sorry. It is tough being a coach and a referee and a player at this level of competition and they deserve our respect and positive support. Continued success to the players, coaches, staff and fans. Go Shamrocks!!!!! This site will be maintained for a few weeks longer (3-1-09) so that interested parties can download any files they wish to keep. After this time all broadcasts will be deleted and the site closed. For further information about this broadcast contact Bob Little mrl3@yahoo.com or call 269-876-2262.

There are three ways to listen to a game. No. 3 is best if you have a slow internet connection and you do not want to keep the file for future listen or to burn a CD: 1. Save the files to your PC, iPod or MP3 player. You will find the files listed below the text describing each game and segment ( quarter, inning, etc.) and titled "Direct Download". See the following example: EXAMPLE Direct download: BS_vs_Kal_Christian_8-25-06_Pre-Game.mp3 You will need player software on your PC like Real Player or Microsoft Windows Media PLayer to play using option 1 & 2. These are the prefered ways to get the best results. Player software is readily available on the internet many for free and often come pre-loaded on newer computers.
2. Play the file directly from your PC player software by clicking on the POD icon to the left of the Event Title. See the following example: EXAMPLE
3. The Player on this web page located above and to the right is a very simple version and plays files in sequential order only. Begin playing by clicking once on the middle, start/stop right arrow button shown. You can start, stop, forward or reverse and skip forward or backwards but you can not scroll down and pick a file and immediately play it. I wish it was better but this is what we get for free. Some older files may play at the wrong speed but hopefully all new files will play properly and not make us sound like the Chipmunks. For real entertaining value check out some of the older files using this player. If we can raise some money for our voluntary enterprise we can get our own web site and have a more user friendly system for our listeners. Suggestions & donations are welcome.
